I spent most of last weekend redesigning QAQN and I’m quite pleased with the result. This is the prelude episode of Zap! It serves only to inform iTunes that there is a valid RSS feed and to set up the stats with Blubrry.com. The weight loss podcasts ended, and so did my efforts at getting in shape. I’ve started to turn that around by getting back on my bike and riding around a local recreation facility. In this post I explain the new plan. The plan that’s working.

I deactivated 20(!) plugins that I wasn’t using or didn’t need. My site’s load time dropped by half. Yesterday, I deactivated three more. I’m down to seven plugins, and each one of them is required to make my site function or to make my job significantly easier. These are the seven.
