Here’s the official bio that I’ve been using in various places. It gets updated periodically.
Daniel M. Clark is a podcast production consultant and the founder of QAQN, a collection of informative and entertaining podcasts. A resident of the internet since 1992, he either is or has been: a t-shirt designer, an art reviewer, a system administrator, a video game designer and programmer, a blogger, an affiliate marketer, a podcaster, a writer, a space cowboy, and a gangster of love. He has, in fact, gotten his lovin’ on the run. Mostly what Daniel is right now is a work-at-home dad, raising two kids, ages 7 and 3 with his wife, Angela.
I had been doing Geek Dads Weekly for nearly two years when I decided to branch out and try some other shows. I knew I wanted to do an interview show (what became Inside Internet Marketing) and a couple of comics-related shows (currently in pre-production, Waiting for Wednesday and Kids and Comics).
I’ve been bored with blogging for some time. I said on my blog once that I’m a pathetic blogger, and I am. I have no motivation, and I have not the mad skillz necessary to keep up with it on a regular basis. I’d write every day for three weeks then go six without writing anything. But I was good at podcasting.
The only people I knew of that were making a serious go of podcasting were Leo Laporte and Adam Curry – two people that came from television and radio going way back (when I was first told Adam Curry was a successful podcaster, I never dreamed it was the same dude with the killer mullet that I used to watch on Headbanger’s Ball 20 years ago).
Then I discovered Cliff Ravenscraft.
Cliff was the first regular Joe I’d come across that was podcasting as a career. That was the inspiration I needed to really give QAQN a shot, so big props to Cliff. Thanks, man.
And here we are. QAQN is up and running and if you’re reading this, then it’s doing well. I’m enjoying it, and I’d love to hear from you!
